Samuel Bayer at Ace Gallery
Castelli recently had the opportunity to frame & deliver Samuel Bayer's exhibition of nude black & white triptychs. The show went up in early March and was a huge success, drawing attention for its portrayal of the divided female form, as well as the beautiful quality of the photographs. Samuel Bayer is an award-winning director, cinematographer, and visual artist.
The show is currently up at Ace Gallery until April 27th and is definitely worth the trip.
Dana Louise Kirkpatrick at KM F.A.
The work of Dana Louise Kirkpatrick hearkens back to the work of Basquiat, and a small portion of her collection is now showing in West Hollywood. Castelli is proud to be the official framer of one of the brightest, young, up & coming artists in the business. Celebrities and art collectors alike, spanning NYC to LA, have been taking notice of the unique skill she possesses.
Her work is currently up at KM Fine Arts and it's highly suggested that you go see her pieces in person.
Daido Moriyama at Prism
The photography of Daido Moriyama has positioned him as one of the most influential, yet controversial photographers of the 20th century. Castelli is proud to have framed and delivered work of quite possibly the most famous photographer in Japanese history.
A wide range of his photos will be on view in an upcoming show at Prism Gallery LA. Typical of Moriyama's work, the nuances and point of view of the subject matter he addresses are completely worth a view with your own two eyes. The show runs July 12th to August 12th
Myles Lee at the Carmel Foundation
"Once not seen, seen but once, seen no more" sums up the photography of Dr. Myles Lee. A ripple in the water, a pattern in the sand, or a glimpse in time of how light plays with a particular moment are the subjects of his work. Castelli is honored to have had a hand in printing and helping prepare his oeuvre for presentation in his upcoming one-man exhibit of Point Lobos.
It's certainly recommended if you are near Carmel (between August 1st & August 31st) to go see Dr. Lee's photos on display. With one view, it will be easy to understand how he gives "permanence to the evanescent."
Ringo Starr at the Grammy Museum
The Beatles are arguably the greatest band in the history of music and we all know Ringo as their iconic drummer. Castelli is privileged to have taken part in presenting photos of the living legend's musical career for the world to view.
Ringo (and other Beatles) memorabilia is currently on display at the Grammy Museum in their exhibition entitled "Ringo: Peace & Love". Any fan of rock & roll or music in general should take time out of their schedule to visit. The exhibition is on display until March 2014.
